After a highly successful debut event in 2009, the Penguin Racing School is again partnering with the Women's Riding School in 2010, this time with a mid-summer event on July 23. The Women's Riding School has been putting on this event for several years in an effort to give women the opportunity to expereince the racetrack in a safe and enjoyable enviornment. Our top professional instructors will bring years of riding and racing experience to offer new insights and learning tools to this program. This partnership will offer even more ways for the women participating in this event to increase their skills and confidence on a motorcycle. The Penguin Racing School will have our full range of video and photographic tools to make the classroom time extremely effective (and enjoyable).
DON'T BE FOOLED BY OUR NAME! The Penguin Racing School has been teaching riding and racing for 36 years. Our instructors have won road racing championships at venues all around the country. However, in this time we've helped literally thousands of riders at all levels (including many women). This event is not a "race" school, it is a riding school. For anyone that wants to learn how to ride at a racer level, we'll certainly have the staff and tools available for you. For those of you (we expact a majority) who just want to ride in a place where you can feel comfortable and know that you are being taught by instructors who really know thier craft, this is the place for you. This day is primarily about having fun, discovering the racetrack and walking away a much better rider at the end of the day.
A Few Event Details
This event has some important differences from our regular school events. First, there are groups with passing restrictions that will allow riders of all skill levels to ride on the track in plenty of comfort. In addition to our morning classroom sessions and track walk, we offer special "short course" classroom sessions all afternoon long. Some of the topics covered are: track strategy, line selection, body position, bike setup, braking, direction change, acceleration & more.
There is also ample opportunity for 1 on 1 instruction time. Each garage in the paddock is assigned a personal expert instructor for the afternoon, giving you lots of opportunity to discuss riding, racing, setup, track strategy, track form.....anything motorcycle. We look forward to seeing you there.
All reservations, rental equipment and/or rental motorcycles are handled directly through the Penguin Racing School. Registration Form Here
